Terms & refunds

Revelsnap is an event photo, video and guestbook service provided by Herman Vermaak, trading as StartMadeSimple. These terms apply when you create an event, buy a plan or contribute to a gallery.

What you’re buying

Gathering costs £29 or US$39 for one event, with 5 GB of storage and an upload window ending three months after your event date. Celebration costs £49 or US$65, with 15 GB and an upload window ending six months after your event date. Both allow unlimited guests within the storage limit, and gallery access until 12 months after your event date. Uploads open when payment is confirmed. Prices and currency are shown before you pay. There is no subscription or automatic renewal.

Your free preview is for the host only: three files, 25 MB in total, up to 10 MB each, for seven days. Paid events support files up to 100 MB each. You may upload batches of up to 30 files. Supported formats are JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, HEIC, HEIF, MP4 and MOV. Playback depends on your browser and the file’s format; HEIC photos may need to be downloaded to a compatible device. We preserve the original files, including any embedded metadata.

Your account and event

Hosts need a ChatGPT account to sign in. Guests do not need an account. Keep your host account secure and choose your event date carefully: access and upload deadlines are calculated from that date. If you need to correct it after creating your event, contact us before paying. You must be at least 18 to purchase a plan. A parent or guardian should supervise uploads by children.

Sharing and permission

Anyone with an active event’s link can contribute and, if the host permits, view and download its files. Hosts can add a six-digit PIN and turn off guest browsing. Links and PINs can be passed on, so share them carefully. Hosts can remove contributions and close their event. Contributors retain their rights and give us permission to store, display and deliver their contributions to the host and permitted guests for this service.

Upload only material you own or have permission to share. Consider the wishes of the people pictured, especially children. Do not upload illegal material, exploitative content, non-consensual intimate imagery, malware, or content that infringes another person’s rights. Do not use Revelsnap as general file storage or attempt to bypass limits. We may remove content or suspend access where reasonably needed to address abuse, a legal request or a payment problem. Report concerns to info@startsimple.cc with the event link and enough information to identify the material.

Refunds and problems

You can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing info@startsimple.cc with your payment email and event link. This applies even if you asked for immediate activation. We will respond within two working days and issue an approved refund to your original payment method within 14 days of your request. Your bank may take additional time to display it.

A full refund closes paid guest access. Download your memories before requesting a refund. Removing an event yourself does not automatically request or issue a refund. After the first 14 days, contact us if the service is faulty or is not as described; we will work with you to put it right, including a refund when appropriate. Nothing in these terms reduces your statutory consumer rights.

Keeping your memories

Download your originals before the expiry date shown in your dashboard. Gallery access ends at expiry; files are then scheduled for deletion within 30 days. Files you delete and files in events you remove are queued for earlier deletion. Revelsnap is not a permanent archive. Keep a separate copy of important photographs and videos. Large downloads are split into ZIP files.

Our responsibilities

We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, a particular guest’s device compatibility, or recovery of files after deletion. We are responsible for reasonably foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude liability that the law does not allow us to exclude, including for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms for future purchases. Your purchased storage and access period will not be reduced by a later price or plan change. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without limiting mandatory protections or rights to bring claims available where you live.
